Don’t delete all your environment variables

So, this happened a while ago, but it keeps poppin up, so I thought I’d write about it. So, many people as cool as I…many people whose coolness poorly approximates Greatness, would not post about this out of pride, while I am the essence of Greatness, I am also beyond this pride thing…somehow. Anyways, I was having a VERY weird issue, and I was trying to ensure that nothing other than a script I was testing was running, b/c it appeared to me that something was stealing my mouse events…so I removed many environment variables (not only for this reason, but also b/c I had polluted it with entries that seemed to piss each other off such as 3 versions of MSVC and various MS platform SDKs (none of this was for fun, it was all part of my arduous [odious?] endeavor to compile XULRunner with PyXPCOM), so anyways, I got rid of many of the entries (all but like python’s path) in my Path variable… turns out none of this was the issue.

If ever you are running some console app/script and are having mouse events randomly hijacked…this may be your issue:
If QuickEdit Mode is enabled, or if you have turned Mark on for the open shell (right-clicking on the shell’s title bar and going to properties will show you a checkbox indicating the status of QuickEdit Mode, and if the cursor is not a blinking underscore, that is, if it is a box blinking, and the box should be the full height of a line in the shell, then Mark is on) this will steal your mouse events! This seems obvious with me near-perfect hindsight, but I enabled this by default b/c it never cause me any problems, and I frequently needed to copy/paste out of the shell, so I didn’t even think about it being there when I was having troubles with my program.

Anyways, I was running a batch file that checked for installation of Python 2.5 by doing something like reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Python\PythonCore\2.5" and it was failing even though python is installed…well, reg wasn’t recognized as a program b/c blah\blah\system32 wasn’t in my Path…d-oh!

*edit: I didn’t include this earlier b/c I didn’t have permission, but now that I’ve met him in person, and asked… Steve Lee is the cool guy who got XULRunner built against PyXPCOM and whose batch file I was running

“A word or phrase in the file…:”

So…just a quick tease of a post, mostly interesting to half-nerds (those too busy or lame to have solved their Windows [XP?] searching needs).

In Windows (XP Pro [only?]) you can Search for “A word or phrase in the file…:” Well, this don always work. If the file type you’re hoping it will search in are anything other than .txt (some exaggeration here), it won’t look in the file. I do not know why the solution works, but I do know it has worked for some. the following is copied from Windows® XP - Search Problems

Start, Run and entering REGEDIT Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and locating the entry for the file type in question. For example, .txt, .adm, .asp. Expand the branch for that file type, and if the PersistentHandler subkey does not exist, create it. Do this by clicking on the file extension key and going to Edit, New, Key. Name the Key, PersistentHandler. Click on the PersistentHandler sub-key. In Regedit’s right pane, double click on the Default value and enter the following (copy and paste may be your best bet):

{5e941d80-bf96-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb}

If the PersistentHandler sub-key does exist, do not change the default value. This could have very undesired consequences.

Close Regedit and reboot the computer.

I have had to use this for .py, .js, .manifest, and I didn’t even have a .xul entry in there!

Amtrak

Amtrak
So…I’m sitting on the train “#91 Silverstart!” they shout. I didn’t know whether I was going to take the plane or train until recently (I think I was somewhat waiting for Shun to decide if he could afford it because if he could, it’d've been better for him had I taken the train, but Jasmine [who's sitting her lovely self here beside me, playing sudoku] has never been on either, so plane would’ve been fine with her). B/c I waited so long, the plane tickets were up around $600 (for the two of us). This is REDUNKULOUS! I mean, I checked jetblue, southwest, airtran, cheapflights, cheaptix (or is it cheaptickets?), kayak, expedia, travelocity, orbitz, I tried from RDU, CLT, GBO to MIA and FLL (or w/e Ft. Lauderdale is), and I couldn’t get it cheaper, well, actually, I could get it down to about $300 if we went from like CLT to FLL and had a 10 hr layover…so AMTRAK! It’s only $130 for the two of us (one-way of course). While I am a baller now, I can’t justify $200-$500 just for convenience…

doo-dooloo-doo-dooloo-doo-dooloo (that’s supposed to be read aloud in a slightly higher pitch and to sound like the Wayne’s World noise that indicates we are gonna warp elsewhere/elsewhen [in this case back to October, well Jasmine just put Elton {"my" iPod} on "Say You'll Be There" by the Spice Girls so I guess we're back to like '97, but anyways...]) October 2006! Your Greatly and Bert, Becca, and Mia took Amtrak down to ORL (from RGH) for Fall Break to go to Disney and Universal (yes, it was a pretty expensive trip, but the train was like $90 round-trip! Oh, btw, Jasmine just put “Wannabee” by the Spice Girls on). Well, I don’t remember how long the train was supposed to take (if i weren’t w/o connectivity right now, I’d look it up, but I’m writing in Notepad and gonna paste this in later), but it took and EXTRA 16 hrs! So in calculating how long it’d take us to get to Miami, I looked at the approximately 21 hour travel time online and added about 24 hrs in my head. This is what you do if you wish to ride Amrak for any length over a few hours. Any way, I’m digressin from my digression, in October, we were to get on the train at 21:00 in Raleigh, NC. Well, not only was our vessel late, but it was also a charter bus. “Why?!” or WTF?! I hope you’re wondering, well b/c apparently there was a bridge out somewhere, so we had to take a charter bus from Raleigh, NC to Atlanta, GA. Well we were like, w/e as long as we get there on time. Well, that might have been a possibility, but the little catch that I guess went w/o saying (well, it did, whether or not it should’ve) was that the bus driver had to go to all the (TRAIN!) stations that our train was supposed to hit. Well, this poor man (busdriver) had no clue where he was or where he was going, no map, no radio, no cell phone, and of course, no GPS! So here we are, at night, in the rain wandering around in this charter bus, stopping at gas stations, cramped, hot, cold, sleepy, pissed, potty’s broke… So we got to Atlanta WAY late, they were supposedly holding the train for us there…so as if all this weren’t enough (they gave us a free dinner and said get over it), on the way back, we had to stop 2 or 3 times (luckily on the train this time) for them to fix the track! I mean, don’t get me wrong Amtrak delaying committee, I would love to travel only over tracks in a state of good repair, but CON FLABBIT! they know the schedule, couldn’t they have done maintenance before we got there?!

(So I switched to AbiWord for in-line spell checking, I’m really bad at the space bar lately. If I make the same mistake again, I’ll leave it so you can see. )

So, this time, I was pessimistic and thought I may get there as late as Sunday night (instead of Saturday night), and did other things to try to make the trip better. We each have a pillow and small blanket, I have my laptop and some movies/shows on DVD. Well, cool TGM forgot that he doesn’t have a DVD codec on his laptop right now…so those DVDs are worthless. YAY! Well, at least I have Elton and Bert’s headphone 1-to-2 adapter (Jasmine keeps tryin to call it a 2-to-1, but that’s def not what it is), so we can both listen to music. We have snacks, cash, she’s got sudoku and books, I’ve got laptop and books (GEB and Erec) and fatigue. Anyways, when Shun and Bert and Griffin took us to the station last night, I meant to slip them my KK card (buy any dozen donuts and get a free glazed dozen), since we were in Raleigh (where the Krispy Kreme is), but where Shun pulled the car up, there was a piece of pavement scratched to hell that said something like “N R IN” and just about a minute after we all got out to unload and whatnot, this dwoman (that means devilwoman, usually a term of endearment, but in this case, a respectful insult) rolls up (literally) on her golfcart, and was like “MOVEMOVEMOVEMOVE!” and so, Shun got back in hisr car, at which point she backed up as if she would very soon t-bone his lovely Spectra since he was blocking the little garage she was trying to get to (look dwoman, the next train isn’t going to be here for 3 hrs and while I don’t know that at this point [20:40], you do! cut this rushin stuff out!), so they got the heck outta there. Well, when we’d printed our tickets off and looked around for a bit, and checked some luggage (Capitalism help them if Amtrak has harmed a single piece of Kingsley’s plastic [that's my Wii's name]), and guybehindcounter told us train would be here “no sooner than 11, possibly as lat as 1″ (it’s just about 21:00 at this point) I called and told Bert to have them come get us and go to KK, and right now I’m realizing this wasn’t too polite, but I thin khe (<-- that's the sort of typo I keep making!) knows that me telling in situations where I'm not in control is really just me asking. Anyways, he said they'd try to get there themselves, but had just gotten unlost (Raleigh's stupid as far as roads go in case y'all didn't know, stupider than Charlotte even!), so they came and got us, and we got an assorted dozen (we each picked 2 and 2 people each picked one more), and then a glazed dozen, well OF COURSE they were HOT and ... THEN (?) so we ate that dozen in about 30 seconds. So at least Jasmine and I didn't have to just sit in the train station for 2 hours, we spent about 1.5 of them runnin KK with the crew.

btw, as an abstract from what may become "Open Letter to Sweet, Sweet Krispy Kreme": Now KK, your hot glazed donuts and sweet assorted accompaniment are one of the things I live for, but I do not think I need to be treated like I’m tryin to rob the damn store and attack the families of the individual laborers each time I come in and order. While I may tend to come in with several people and we will all be picking approximately 2 donuts of a dozen, we generally pause and get out act together before BOTHERING you with our order, and are generally more streamlined than individuals ordering only a donut or two and coffee. Also, 2 dozen donuts for 4 or 5 people (which is how I generally roll to KK), is pretty darn good, so cut the pdn bs and serve us, if not with a smile, then at least an attitude that conveys to us that you are aware that we did not force you to work for the best donut place EVER…

So anyway, the train ride’s been alright, I think they’re gonna pull some magic out of their conductor hats and have people going to the west side of the state, or at least those to Tampa, get off at Winterhaven, w/e that is and bus to Tampa, which will apparently not only save them 1 hour, but save the rest of the train about 4 hours… Breakfast was a (allegedly) 3-cheese Quiche and turkey sausage links and bran-apple juice (thanks Jasmine for that collaboration), and hashbrowns, and Croissant. The croissant was def the highlight, but with ketchups n saltnpeppa, the hashbrowns approached mediocre. We were seated across from a woman who looked (to me, a terrible age-guesser) about 30 yrs old for our breakfast, and she was going down to see her daughter and granddaugther…LUCKY! (gotta pronounce that like Napoleon Dynamite) I want to have kids and grandkids! oh well, one day…

Oh, this weird woman was seated across the aisle (in case you don’t know the #91 Silverstar! is organized into rows of four seats two-and-two separated in the middle by the aisle) from us. Well, she was very large, which is fine except that she seemed to have trouble getting comfortable, which is totally understandable as the seats aren’t exactly reality-friendly, and she had these thick glasses that made her eyes look HUGE. And her voice was also kind of weird, a bit of a slur in it. Anyways, she seemed nice enough for about a minute, “hi wherery’all gointo?” but then after some nice chit-chat, Jasmine and I were trying to go to sleep…this woman positions herself so that she is leaning with her side against he seat back meaning she’s looking (STARING) directly across the aisle at…me and Jasmine. Now it’d be one thing if she was trying to sleep, but Jasmine pointed it out to me, and every time I would try to steal some sly, non-chalant peek, this woman had eyes WIDE (and exaggerated by her glasses) open and was just looking over at us, a little creepy. I made Jasmine listen to Straight Outta Lynwood+I’m Pitiful this morn, and when it got to “Do I Creep You Out” she wrote that the woman across the aisle creeps her out on the paper she was using as a clipboard for copying #s between cell phones.

Ok, I’m gonna try to read Erec, the darn thing has a 57 page Introduction! ugh!

Well, I’m just about to post this and I must say we were only 30 min late arriving in Miami.

SPRING BREAK!

So after 12:50 tomorrow (today), Friday, I wam “free” until…well…ok, I won’t actually try to summarize.

Fri @ 21:00 Jasmine (that’s my little sister, I think her link is on the left as “phenomenal”) and I get on a train to Miami. It will supposedly get there on Saturday @ 18:05. In October I took the train from here to Orlando and it took an extra 16 hours or so. That is 16 hours plus however long the original/planned time was. So while trains beat the pants off of planes (where does this come from? do I have issues with this? “beat the pants off” hmm is this about rape? i certainly hope not, btw, quick tangent, someone, who was it? um…Jared Brothers! said “herstory” today…I like that.) as far as passenger experience, I think they lose in reliability.

Anyway, we’re going to Miami b/c Aunt Mary offered to give me Grandma B (Aunt Mary’s Mother [in law])’s old car (I don’t know why Aunt Mary offered Grandma B’s car, maybe Grandma B gave it to her)! It’s a white “13 yr-old” Chevy Caprice. Think large cop-car sedan. This is great! SO we are going down to get that and hang out with Miami family for a while, then over to Naples family, then Ft. Myers family, Clearwater family, Orlando family(?), Charlotte family and hopefully haircut, then back to Chapel Hill by sometime Sunday 3/18.

Then, Monday, plane to LA (thanks IBM!) where I will be attending the Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference. Then Fri night, get on a plane and get back Sat sometime.

So yeah, two weeks of break should be nice, but I will need to do IBM and school work during both so…not REALLY breaks, but it’ll be WAY better than being here.

Got neat things to write about, but no time yet…I need to finish up with Sir Leds-a-lot on GChat, then sleep.

Ashley

Ok, so I worked on my math homework, and I am a little confused, so hopefully I’ll remember to try to go to her office hours tomorrow…if I can’t do math hw, I might as well change some of these drafts to posts!

Charlotte

Well, I went home last wknd, it was pretty much awesome. Got me some Shunshine, Lissa-poo, WO (who I will never again refer to as anything other than Sweet, Sexy Gregory), Chris, Nathan, Eric, Adam, Ian, Mom, Dad, Katie, Nancy, Randy, Darcy, Ms. V., and Dulin (and Shelley [and like 12 random people from pretty much everywhere we went who were from Harding {that is, we saw people from Harding EVERYWHERE}]). Lissa was down on her way to ATL to check out the city where she may go to grad school or teach (despite T4A’s stupid ass decision not to support her), and I think Sweet, Sexy Gregory plans to enroll in their Digital Media program. So, I basically decided around August that I would be in CLT for a few years following graduation. Well, this weekend really made me sure of that decision, I am SO ready to be home. I mean, I kind of relate to Largeman in Garden State in feeling that I don’t have a home now, but that it’s time for me to go out and make my own, but for right now, my home is with my family, and my family are those listed above (plus a few such as Bert, Mia, Cameron, and Hannah, but I don’t know where they’ll end up), and they are mostly in CLT as of May or June. So, basically, I’m really excited to get back to Charlotte, and as much as I know I’ll miss UNC, I am very tired of many things:

  • DPS. That’ll have to be a whol’nother post.
  • Game Days. I like games, I love the hype, but I hate how the whole town revolves around the damn games, heaven forbid any inhabitant, esp. those on campus have anything other than the game going on.
  • Housing. I don’t know if i’ll post about this at all, after i leave, or if i’ll leave it as this: The UNC DHRE takes advantage of its staff (student and otherwise) and their mission, or maybe in spite of their mission, many of their policies and procedures are unfair, hypocritical or even discriminatory. If you care about why, ask and maybe i’ll do a real post about this, but unless they piss me off sometime soon, this prolly won’t get back on the radar.
  • Privilege. That is, people being blind to the privileges they’re afforded, taking them for granted, and refusing to learn some serious out-of-classroom lessons that demonstrate how in the real world, lare portions of people, if not vast majorities are without the privileges that people seem to fail to appreciate daily.
  • Homework. I don’t like the lack of separation between tasks that I have here. I would like to say that I take full responsibility for this mixing that I so despise, and that I recognize ways out, but I do not feel like the way I have to separate these tasks would be as beneficial to me as the things I have chosen that result in the mixing. Now, freshman first year, I had 1 room, and this I shared with a pretty good roommate (Ryan). My desk was really small so when I would do work, for example write a program where I needed a book or papers out, I could have either the keyboard on the desk or my notes or my book, so I would do my work on my laptop, in my bed. Well, Jenny taught me that there’s some pyscho issues of doing work where you sleep and sleeping where you work, so I stopped working in bed, and this increased my productivity, reduced my fatigue, AND made me sleep better (well, I mean, I don’t know for sure that these results were due to this change, but it’s convincing enough for me). Sophomore second and third years, I had a room to myself, so I had enough space to do homework on my desk or table or couch and to primarily sleep in my bed. This is a little better, but still, the space of my room (11′-by-12′) was kind of a weird place, was my couch for relaxing or working, or better, my whole room, was it where tha party @? where I do school/homework? where I do RA work/counsel residents? Now my fourth year, I have an “apartment”, I do work on one couch, chill on the other (when possible) sleep in my bed, work on my computer, but I still don’t like that RA work (being on duty/bulletin board/program responsibilities are not in defined RA work times, but whenever I can fit them in, or squeeze out something else to do these, RA and school work encroaches on my personal space. So, even though I’ll be working from home for IBM, I still plan to really separate work and play and relaxation.

Anyways, gotta go play Wii for a few and then go to the UNC-Duke bball game.

This subject has nothing to do with its post.

This post has a totally relevant subject.

So, paradoxes. I am reading GEB, or I am for now anyway, and he’s talking about Strange Loops, but while that’s pretty interesting (that’s what the subject is all about), I am more interested in a different paradox that I have encountered recently.

What is The Golden Rule? Simply put, “treat others as you would like to be treated.” That seems like a very nice idea, maybe even a good idea. Well, I think this is the best thing to do for strangers (ok, who just jumped ahead and got my point?! slow it down! i’m writing this, lemme present it con flabbit! I take that back, jump ahead, experience this however you will, so long as that means loving this [whether or not you agree]), because we do not know strangers, and it is probably safer/better/more appropriate (what should go here? if you have a suggestion, lmk via comment) to assume that they would prefer treatment similar to our preferences, than to be paralyzed and not know how to treat them, or to mistreat them. Well, what about people we know? What about friends we know quite well? This sounds (do i “hear” the words i’m about to write in my head or do i just think them? so i hear them in my head in my voice? i don’t think so) obvious to me now, (don’t you just love the way i change mid though, well, this is stream of consciousness, and don’t tell my potential employers, but I think this is actually a pretty [meaning mostly, not beautiful] valid picture of my thought processes) but shouldn’t we either know enough about our friend to know that they would rather be treated how they (I tried to type “string” instead of strong for the emphasis tags on “they”, both for the open and the close, is this a result of the stupid QWERTY i use, or of my programmer background? [or somet else?]) want to be treated? Or, if we are trying to interact with a friend in a way that supports, encourages, etcs them, shouldn’t we ask what that way is, esp. if our relationship with them is deteriorating when we try to guess how we need to treat/interact with them?

If this just seems so obvious to you, congratulations, maybe you could inform the rest of this, but it took me quite awhile to figure this one out, so I’m not trying to be like, sarcastic or scolding or condescending here, just sharing my intellectual/social development with you.

Okay, so don’t let The Great Body find out that I am picking up on it, but I am not feeling as Great as usual, well, that’s been true for a few months, but more recently, I have been getting…s*ck. I think there’s chest congestion, I really don’t want to have to find/buy medicine, but I really don’t want to get s*ck. Well, I say that, but last week I couldn’t convince myself to go to bed b4 4:00 (that’s not 4:00PM, because I prefer to write that as 16:00, and I don’t like ot call it “military time,” i am somewhat adamant about calling it “24-hour time” i don’t know why, i guess b/c i’m not in the military, and neither is NASA or [all] computers, and we all use it to - UH-OH! is that ca carpal tunnel warning?! shoot! i think so, i am SO concerned after I heard about alex’s severe case, but it turns out his is somewhat genetic), I dunno why, but I was only getting maybe 3 or 4 hrs last week. I’ve done worse, but that doesn’t mean that this was good. Well I’ll push vitamin C and fluids for now, does anyone know if echinacea actually works? I mean I bought some, but who knows?

Ok, I hope to have some news to share tomorrow (I’d actually hoped to have it tonight, but w/e). So, I need to stop writin’ this and IMin’ Kaitlin and read, so I guess i’ll go do that so that maybe I can be in bed by 2 or 2:30.

Contamination Level: Red

Briefly, I want to ensure all you avid readers, and frequent update-checkers-for-ems that I do not plan on going this long w/o an update again, but you should just subscribe to the rss feed anyway.

So, there exist these viral (copyleft) licenses for software. And, to make a long story short, I read some (and started to use it in my work for IBM). SO I get an email Friday morning to the effect of, “Michael, you are now what IBM considers ‘contaminated,’ please do not talk about your code with anyone in IBM, or look at anymore virally licensed code.” So this is a little ridiculous because as far as anyone within 3 levels of me (in the IBM Hierarchy of Power) is concerned, my work is to be open source and licensed under at least BSD, if not some other copycenter license. So, this was drama drama drama, and now it doesn’t seem relevant, either it will go away or I will have to edit my code, and then doublethink it.

Thurs, I interviewed with Amentra, and hoped to be able to say today that they had offered me a position…they haven’t contacted me yet, so I will call them tomorrow. I really hope to get an offer, because Amentra seems like an excellent company and an excellent opportunity for me.

So, in other happenings, I will be writing soon about Oppression. I have read Marilyn Frye’s take on it, and I feel that she is pretty much right with her birdcage. (more to come)

Ok, this is also from my Moral and Philosophical Issues of Gender in Society class, (which I think they renamed and shortened since I enrolled, but I’m sticking with the long, accurate title) should medicaid pay for birth control? So, for me, I’m all about women’s rights to their bodies, so I think so, also this would enable women on Medicaid to eliminate the possibility for unplanned pregnancies, so the conservatives out there, should be like “hellz yeah! fewer tax funds to the poor!” But the problem I am also wondering about is this, couldn’t this be called a sort of eugenics movement? That is, if we (the people) provide free birth control to only women on Medicaid, aren’t we saying, we REALLY want to reduce the number of offspring to poor families? If all insurance companies had to provide it it might be a little better, but even then, I think it would be most ethical to provide it for all people, the only detriment I can foresee is the cost, and a few religious collisions (that can be avoided on an individual basis by practitioners of forbidding faiths). Dr. Boxill wanted to bring up the fact that Medicaid (and may other insurance companies) pay(s) for ED remedies, which I don’t think is too cool, but ultimately less interesting than my question (-:. Oh, thanks to Boss Claws (boss @ IBM), I have started to write smilies backwards when possible, it’s neat, i think i like the wink better this way (-;

Tostadas

So, just to inoculate my audience a little, I would much rather just do this post as audio, but it’s late (early), and I fear my voice would be…yep I’m right, a little scratchy, and I don’t want to put anyone through all the uhs and ums that would undoubtedly be in the recording (it seems that I use the same system as Liss, I kind of list topics [though only mentally] and then just extemporize).

Today my RA staff had a staff development activity. Several of us went to Katelyn’s apartment, I brought Kingsley (my Wii), and my big knife (thanks Barrett), big cutting board, and all kinds of ingredients. I was the cook for the dinner we were going to have. I made tostadas (”I am down for Mike’s tostadas…they are basically the closest thing to an orgasm that comes on a hard shell circle of goodness” - John Greer warning: hideous site). While there are a lot of ingredients, and it always takes me about an hour to make them (when I [think] am cooking/making them for appx. 12 people), they really aren’t very difficult, and they are delicious. The nearest image I could find is not quite good enough, for starters, mine are vegetarian. Anyways, tonight the avocados were not yet ready, and I still had people eat several, so unless I find out tomorrow that they are all broken, these are pretty much the best (I tried to make them for Barrett and Dan while in Naples, but the Pube-licks don’t carry the tostada[shells?]).

The Great Tostadas (Recipe mostly stolen from Sra. Scerbo, la madre de Siroberto y Celia Scerbo)
Ingredients:

  • Produce:
    • 8 Roma Tomatoes
    • 8 (not Hass) Avocados
    • 1 large (Vidalia, Red, White, Yellow, it is not Great to discriminate) Onion
    • 1 bunch cilantro (you can’t really have too much cilantro, so as many bunches as you like)
  • Dairy:
    • 8 oz Sour Cream (not gonna contribute a lot, you could probably use fat free)
    • 24-32 oz of shredded (mild, sharp, w/e) cheddar cheese
  • Other:
    • 2 bags of appx. 24 Corn Tostadas (round these parts, ya haf ter get em from Food Lion [HT, nor Le Target carry em])
    • 3 cans of refried black beans (some ignants thank the refried beans are only brown, which are refried pintos)
    • Valentina (yummy not too hot sauce, I do not agree with Wikipedia that it has a citrus flavor)

Directions:

  1. Cut up all produce (I will post about how to do these tasks well later)
  2. Mix all produce in a bowl
  3. Put black beans in a microwaveable (Pyrex) bowl
  4. Wet a paper towel, and spread it over black bean bowl
  5. Microwave black beans on high 4-6 minutes
  6. Have individuals make their tostadas
    1. put sour cream on shell (if you like it)
    2. put blackbeans on shell (which may now have sour cream)
    3. put cheese on beans (on shell)
    4. put some of the produce mixture on cheese
    5. put Valentina on top (try some on you finger first, don’t waste a whole tostada b/c you don’t like The Great Sauce
  7. EAT/ENJOY/ORALGASM
  8. Post praise here (post negative feedback with your mom)
Let’s try out this audio business

So, Liss posted as audio the other day…I have been wanting to start a podcast since August, but I haven’t had time. Well, I have had a bit more time recently (due to not doing my reading for classes or to my underloading…who knows?), so I have been working on this blog, and Liss said how easy it was to get audio up here, that I just had to try it. This post is very uncharacteristic of what I plan to post on this blog, so if you don’t like it…good?

Oh yeah, this file is like 8 Megs, so I may have to quarter the sampling rate or w/e it’s called for the future, but I’ve never even approached my bandwidth limit, so I challenge each of you to listen to this on several different computers all at once.
