So, as far as the beans going first, I started to put the sour cream first (instead of right before The Great Sauce at the end) because, in my diet, sour cream is more spoiled by other ingredients than black beans. That is, i might but sour cream on eggs, or keep it longer for this or that recipe. Black beans, I either finish with the tostadas, or I eat as a side with eggs or something, but ultimately, I usually eat black beans with sour cream, and maybe cheese (and maybe onions), but I do not as usually eat sour cream with black beans. And I do like to have sour cream on all of the tostada, which is why I do not glop it on a bit at the end. Thanks for your input AMT, glad to post my preferences and clarification.

I was taught that the beans go first, it's easier to spread that way when you don't have to worry about getting s. cream all over your spoon. But I guess your way is okay.

Thanks Michelle! La Costeña is the brand I usually get, but for example Harris Teeter has a generic (HT) brand (I know that HT is local, but I'm just sayin), and I think it's Target that has some other brand with like a cactus on the front, maybe has lime juice in it already (doesn't seem to make much of a diff.

Oh, man. That sounds amazing! I'm totally marking this for a meal (or three, judging by quantities) in a week or so.
